WHERE’S THE STORY?
Have you ever watched a movie with great visual effects but has no story? I mean… literally speaking, all movies have stories right? but most of their stories make NO SENSE.
Yes, special effects are good but is it better to come up with a movie with cool visual effects and with a cool story too? I know that editing special effects is not that easy. I’m not really good in editing so you could say that I have no right to say these things. But I’m talking here not just as an editor but also as a “VIEWER”.
Some people would say to me… “ikaw kaya ang gumawa niyan. kaya mo ba?”. Well, as of now, I can’t do those hollywood movies. But that’s the point! They already have the capability. why not use it at their best?
Now, that’s the problem today, because people were really hooked on special effects, the management/production team of the movie just focused on doing those special effects rather than making a great story before starting to shoot a movie.
That’s why I really love the movie “TRANSFORMERS” because this movie focused not only in special effects but also on making a good story.
Movies with great visual effects is really marketable. But all I want to share with you guys is that… “it’s not bad to make money over your artwork but we should not forget that a true artist is a person who makes an artwork for the love of it, not only for the money. A true artist must be inspirational to the viewers. Whatever his message is, people must be able to feel the emotions and to acknowledge the feelings expressed through the STORY within it.”
because if you capture the heart of your viewers, for me it’s PRICELESS.
