The Message Spreads As The People Starts Talking.
So yeah. Here comes my weekly blog entry again. I was so busy doing my Philippine Literature stuffs when I remembered the seminar we attended yesterday. Yes, she’s really cute and funny, and she talks very well so I love listening on all her topics.
She talked about CORPORATE IMAGE. According to her, Corporate Image is an image of what the company stands for. There are different ways to improve the corporate image. They said that if your company has a great “PR”, you will gain more profit because the more you connect with the people, the more they would avail your product. But I have learned in the seminar that if we would put up a business in the future or if we would handle the marketing department, we should not think about the profit when we reach out to the community. We should reach out with them because we REALLY CARE.
Trade Fair is another way of improving your corporate image wherein you could assess opinions from clients and determine market potential. In the trade fair, you could develop commercial structures by identifying new competitors.
But what really caught my attention was about the “UNDERCOVER MARKETING” or is also called “STEALTH MARKETING”. It’s my first time to heard and know about this kind of marketing and I think it’s WEIRD and UNETHICAL because you will hire people that will serve as actors/actresses to ACT about your product. They would pretend that they are using the said product and they would tell the features of that product that could influence the people in the market. In this kind of marketing, the audience is not aware that they are being marketed to. For me, it’s very DECEIVING and UNACCEPTABLE. But another way of using “undercover marketing” is promoting your product through different tv shows or movie films. Like when the girl in the movie “I AM NUMBER FOUR” used Nikon and Canon Cameras for taking her photos. And I think this kind of undercover marketing is already ACCEPTABLE.
The speaker in the seminar also said that it’s time to “SAY GOODBYE” to the traditional way of marketing and “SAY HELLO” to the advanced way of marketing. She also said that we could earn lots of money if we would just develop our marketing skills here in Multimedia Arts because businesses nowadays really need the talents of Multimedia developers like us. She said that she’s planning to take up Multimedia Arts, it’s just that she wants to spend more time with her kids. She also said that we’re lucky so we should really focused on developing our talents and skills.
Here comes the “VIRAL MARKETING” wherein you could encourage individuals to pass information to others in easier ways through the use of many digital platforms present at this time. Through the use of your mobile phones, laptop, iPAD,etc., you could already introduce your product in different social networking sites and let the people know the different features of your product. Here, you’re not the only one who could market your product because the consumers itself could also promote your product by telling other people about the advantages they get when they availed your product. The words like… “HEY, TRY IT! I ALREADY TRIED IT AND IT’S COOL!” could already influence and persuade other people to avail your product.
See? that’s the power of COMMUNICATION through the use of advanced marketing skills and strategies. The message would just spread and YOUR PRODUCT WILL BE MARKETED AS THE PEOPLE STARTS TALKING.
